We
have established major milestones to gauge our progress in meeting our
business directions. The following milestones have been reached
and passed at Spend A Day Touring.
May 2008. Developed and began implementing a comprehensive marketing
plan.
Apr 2008. Finished a major rewrite of the Spend A Day Touring web site.
Added pages to make navigation easier. Made the special service project CD's available
directly from Spend A Day Touring.
Jan 2008. Completed the 2007 Edition of "Esther's Book" FlipAlbum CD.
This took the entire year to convert her handwritten 400 page book into digital formats. An
extensive genealogy was prepared on her and her husbands ancestors. Over 300 old
pictures were scanned or found on the Internet.
Nov 2007. Completed the "British Columbia Circle Tour" FlipAlbum CD.
Aug 2007. Spent 7 days touring Vancouver, the Sunshine Coast and
Victoria in British Columbia - called the Circle tour. Began selecting, enhancing and
sequencing the 2800 digital photos into a "Circle Tour" FlipAlbum CD.
Jun 2007. Spent 7 days touring Alberta, British Columbia. Took over 2000
digital pictures for inclusion into the pending "The Prairie Country" FlipAlbum CD.
Jan 2007. Began the year-long work on the "Esther's Book" FlipAlbum.
Dec 2006. As one of our Special Services projects, completed a CD and photo
book of a Memorial Service.
Nov 2006. Completed a redesign and rewrite of the
'www.spendadaytouring.com' web pages.
Nov 2006. As one of our Special Services projects, completed a CD and
photo book of a small business's offerings.
Oct 2006. Returned from a working trip to the wine
country in Okanagan valley in British Columbia, Canada. Took over 1,000
digital pictures and began organizing them into a FlipAlbum.We expect
to publish a "Wine Country" CD and prints in 2007
Aug 2006. Returned from a working trip to Montana and
Alberta, Canada. Took over 500 digital pictures and began organizing
them into a FlipAlbum. We expect to publish a "Prairie Country" CD and
prints in 2007.
May 2006. Completed construction of the Seattle
gallery. It will be used as a combination living and studio building
where we can develop and display our prints, CD's, and other photo
projects.
Oct 2005. As one of our Special Services projects, completed a photo book
of a Seattle rose garden.
May 2005. Began construction of a studio and gallery in Seattle. This will
be a year long project.
Jan 2005. Published to the Internet the CD files and
490 prints of the Seattle location "South Seattle Community College
Arboretum".
Oct 2004. Published to the Internet the CD files and
over 300 prints of the Texas Coast Bend location "Port Aransas"
gallery.
Jul 2004. Sent sample copies of the "Corpus Christi
Botanical Gardens & Nature Center" CD to 40 people involved in
promoting tourism in the Texas Coastal Bend area.
Jul 2004. Published to the Internet the CD files and
prints of the Texas Coast Bend location "Corpus Christi Botanical
Gardens & Nature Center".
Apr 2004. Returned from a working trip the Texas
Coastal Bend area during the February and March 2004 timeframe. Over
12,000 digital pictures were taken and now began the enjoyable task of
selecting the best ones, enhancing them with computer programs, and
then organizing them into picture albums and CD FlipAlbums.
Jan 2004. Legally established 'Spend A Day Touring' as
a Limited Liabiliy Corporation (LLC). Great fun working out the details
with our financial and legal advisors!
Dec 2003. Saw a very encouraging number of orders for our Christmas
notecards. See our Custom Services section.
Dec 2003. Published to the Internet the CD files and
prints of the Seattle location under the 'Spend 7 Days in Seattle for
Less Than $3 Per Day' theme.
Nov 2003. Completed the selection of the CD and print
distributors and also completed the architectural plans for how they
would interact with our website.
Nov 2003. Secured the 'www.SpendaDayTouring.com' website address.
Oct 2003. Completed the photographing of the Seattle
area during June through September 2003 timeframe. Over 20,000 digital
pictures were taken and now began the enjoyable task of selecting the
best ones, enhancing them with computer programs, and then organizing
them into picture albums and FlipAlbum CD's.
