A frequently asked question is what is the story
behind this picture. It was taken on the North Padre Island beach near Corpus Christi,
Texas. It was Super Bowl Sunday and someone had gone into town and left this 'kitchen
sink' scene.

Computers
force a change in how we deal with information, and we mostly accept
that compromise. But a new program converts a universal metaphor — a
book — offering an evolved interface that familiarizes the interaction
with and distribution of digital information.
Called
FlipAlbum and available from Santa Clara, Calif.-based E-Book Systems,
the concept works because it copies a format familiar to anyone who can
read or write. There are no complicated commands, or even menus.
All
the recipient of a FlipAlbum CD needs to do is load the software (by
inserting a CD) and click on the surface of the page to be turned.
Well, I am glad I asked! Try these ten steps to help you quickly enjoy
your FlipAlbum CD.
Initiate a slide show by following the Tools>Slide Show
FlipAlbum menu path. Sit back and enjoy the show. To exit
the slide show just right click on the screen while it is playing. To
change the speed use the Options>Slide Show FlipAlbum menu path.
If your CD does not automatically run, follow the desktop Start>My
Computer path. Then click twice on the CD drive that shows the red FlipAlbum
icon.
Become familiar with the FlipAlbum menu items especially the
Help>Contents FlipAlbum menu path.
To flip to a new page, move the cursor to the right or left
side of the page (it will change to an icon with a turned page corner)
and then left click.
If some text is not showing, change your Windows size setting to normal.
Right click on the desktop, then follow the Properties>Appearance>Font
Size=Normal menu path.
To rapidly go to a front or back cover page, click FlipTo on the FlipAlbum
menu.
If you move your cursor over an image or text and the cusor
changes to a hand with a finger pointer, left clicking will take you to
another CD page or to a Internet home page if you are are online.
The links are frequently verified as working but the content is under the control of
the website owner.
Clicking on a tab will take you to the first page of that section.
The CD pictures are encrypted and you can not print a picture.
When you see it, click on "Order Prints" to take you to Internet
pages where you can select high quality, frameable pictures to purchase in sizes
4x6, 5x7, 8x10, 11x14, 16x30, and 20x30.
Experiment. Have fun. You can't permanently change the CD
contents. If necessary, just restart the CD.
